Find a ministry and become one of our valued Church Volunteers
Serve your church
Our Parish provides many opportunities to get stuck in with serving others. Below you will find ministries which are part of the life of the Church. They keep the building going, they help with handing our faith on to others and they provide a social aspect. Have a look through the options and get involved.
Want to get involved but not sure which options best suits you? Get in touch and we will help you to find something.
Sharing the faith with others and watching the Holy Spirit come alive in them is a great joy. Catechetics is the handing on of the faith to others. We have a number of volunteers who help but demand is growing. If you feel called to participate, please get in contact.
Serving at the altar is an immense privilege. If your child feels Jesus’s call to serve at his altar then encourage them to pray about it and then get in touch with us. You can speak to any of the priests or deacons. Alternatively, send us an email.
Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers help the Priest during Holy Mass to distribute Holy Communion. It is a call from God to serve in this way. If you think God is calling you to contribute to the Parish with this, please contact Deacon Gordon Nunn.
It is important to provide a warm welcome to all visitors and newcomers to our Church. In St Benedict’s Rule he calls on his monks to welcome the visitor or stranger as if it were Christ. In the Gospels Christ says we encounter him in others.
We have a growing Welcome Ministry Team within our Parish. If you would like to be a part or would like to find out more details, please get in touch with the Parish Office. We look forward to hearing from you.
Below are the times when the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered in the Parish. Ignite Leaders
“Never let the fire in your heart go out,” says Romans 12: 11. In years 4-7 the fire which God placed in them at Baptism and fanned in Holy Communion, is about to spark into greater life or be extinguished.
Ignite aims to help the fire of faith grow in our children. They meet fortnightly to grow in friendship with each other and be formed as disciples of Jesus. They also help with First Holy Communion preparation.
We only have a small number of places for this year. As such our team will choose participants based on their suitability. Follow the links below to apply.
