Our Parish is blessed with the musical talent of many different Music Groups. On this page you will find the different choirs. They welcome new people so if you're interested in joining one just get in touch with them or speak with them after the Mass.
Singing at Mass is important as Mass is a participation in the Heavenly mysteries. We find throughout the Bible, hymns and songs used to give praise to God. Moreover, we are given a glance of Heavenly worship in some Biblical stories and insights. In them we find the choirs of Angels and Saints joining in one voice. When we participate at the Mass we join with the one choir of Heaven in praising God.
"Be filled with the Spirit ... singing and playing to the Lord with all your heart."
We are a small, friendly amateur choir who meet weekly and sing plainchant (Gregorian chant) at a monthly Mass at the Abbey. We welcome new members; beginners or more experienced.
Gregorian chant is the traditional music of the Western Church, with roots in the Jewish liturgy at the time of Christ. It’s not difficult to learn.
We meet most Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Bulbeck Room.
Below are the times when the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered in the Parish.
