This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.
It is so important for us if we are really to live happily as Christians that we try into listening to Jesus. He is the Son of God – listen to him!

First Sunday of Lent – stepping into the desert with Jesus
Lent is our own time in the wilderness, a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, where we seek to deepen our reliance on God

The mouth speaks from the abundance of heart
What can we hear, what goes on in our hearts as we listen or read by ourselves? What wealth have we got inside us to make even our small world a better place?

Jubilee Year Parish Discussions
As a follow up from October’s discussions, we held Jubilee Year Parish Discussions in January 2025.

We are people of the Resurrection
If we believe there is no resurrection for ourselves it is because we do no believe in the resurrection of Jesus.

Let God into your life, hear his heavenly message
All three of our readings today demonstrate how experiencing the Divine enables us, transforms us, gives us that strength, that power, to live fully alive and be what God has planned for us all along

‘Candlemas’
We celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas. A blend of biblical tradition with liturgical symbolism, offering us a chance to reflect on Christ’s light in our lives.

The year of the Lord’s favour
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”

Children's
Liturgy
During our Sunday 9am Mass we have a Children’s Liturgy led by a team of volunteers. It’s the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel for all children under 11 years old. It runs during term time, listen out for the invitation at the start of 9am Mass for all children to come forward.
If you would like to volunteer to help us during Term Time on Sundays 9am with our Children’s Liturgy, please get in touch at formation@ealingabbey.org.uk
