Community in Faith

The Gospel this week reminds us that faith is not lived in isolation. We cannot separate love of God from love of neighbour

God’s Kingdom

A commitment to live spiritually is an important first step to finding a way to live spiritually.

Triumph of the Cross

Today we celebrate, we stand in awe and continue to contemplate this incredible mystery, when the Saviour of the World, the Son of God, Christ Jesus took all our sins on his shoulders and carried them, carried us.

Jesus teaches us how to Pray.

The ‘Our Father’ is such a simple and powerful prayer that we can lose sight of just how profound and full of depth its meaning truly is.  It is a good idea to just stop regularly and take time to reflect and ponder over its incredible depth of meaning and to ponder slowly each phrase, word even, during an extended time of quiet prayer.

We ask God to take our Fear.

We ask God to take away our fear, knowing of his love for us. We should always realize Jesus wants to be part of the solution to problems despite our weaknesses. Let us take him up on his offer.

The Good Samaritan

Today’s gospel challenges us to try to overcome deep-seated suspicion, enmity and hatred and to promote love.
