Mission, joy and peace

The Feast of SS Peter and Paul

This a Feast about the foundation and early spread of the Church but it is not just a commemoration and thanksgiving for that. It is also a reminder and celebration of how the Church always works – through the institutional hierarchy and though the charism of the Holy Spirit given to individuals to meet the needs of the changing world.

Holy Trinity Sunday

God’s eternal existence (Father) is expressive (Word) and unitive (Love) and when you live out a Christian life with Christ in the Spirit, you’re living out the mystery of [the triune] God in a conscious way, folding yourself back into the eternal reality of God, and able to live the most profound life possible.

The Father will send the Holy Spirit in his name

If anyone loved me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come and make out home with him”. The Father and the Son will make their home with us in the Holy Spirit when we ask God that we will be loving people.

Barnabus – Son of encouragement

Good Shepherd Sunday

Today, we can pray for each other that we may hear and follow Jesus’ voice as he leads us through the coming week – probably a quiet voice, not a commanding voice, that keeps us aware of others who are also ‘the flock’.
