The “Art and Prayer” group was launched in the parish on Saturday 29th June.
The group meets to reflect on scripture and saints’ writings using a range of art materials and techniques.
This session excerpts from the Psalm of the Day and words of St Therese were expressed creatively by participants through basic collage. This followed a warm up ‘prayer with colour’ that focussed on our relationship with God and neighbour just using markers. It was great to see people’s visual creations and how these enable us to have insight into our faith journey and share with others. There was a diverse range of ages attending and some participants came from East London as well as locally.
We hope this will spark further growth! If you like creativity and want to use art and craft to reflect on and express your faith in a supportive setting please contact Karolina rozamarias@gmail.com,
or 07508 020 822 to book.
No skills or experience required – just being open to use art as an aid to prayer and witness. Those that attended previously thoroughly enjoyed.
In our last workshop on Saturday, 21st September we had a mix of all ages, men and women locally and from all over London.
The next group dates are as follows:
Always at 10am – 12pm in Bulbeck room, Ealing Abbey
– October: Saturday, 12th October 2024 (Theme of Remembrance/Holy Souls)
– November: Saturday, 16th November 2024
– December: Saturday, 14th December 2024
