During our daily routines, let us find moments of stillness where we can listen to Jesus asking us, “Who do you say that I am?”
Have an open mind
Our readings this Sunday have that energy, that sense of openness, of being set free! The Prophet Isaiah! Courage; Don’t be afraid; Leap like a deer; “Ears be unsealed; Tongues Sing for joy!” “Eyes, Be opened’.
When prejudgment turns into prejudice
It is true that instant condemnation comes easy to us and is then honed by endless repetition in our thoughts. But the way to deal with this is to try a bit of empathy, to think ourselves into what might be going on inside others, and not to just listen endlessly to our own self justifications.
